I'm looking forward to seeing what DICE are capable of achieving with Next-Gen technology.

I don't think you're aware as to how long certain members of Epic had been working there. Cliffy B had spent a huge percentage of his life (20 years) at Epic, and wanted a break from the games industry. Rod Fergesson left to take up a higher position at Irrational and Mike Capp's stepped down last December, after working at Epic for a large amount of time so he can spend more time with his family. There's nothing suspicious to it...

@ GalacticEmpire

Yes, but Microsoft claimed on the announcement of "Gears of War 3" that they already had plan's for the future of the franchise.

Soon before "Gears of War: Judgment" was announced, rumours circulated stating "People Can Fly" where developing a "Gears of War" trilogy.

Also, lets not forget that screens for a "Gears of War" RTS being exclusively designed for Xbox were leaked...

Why do you insist on commenting on articles regarding Microsoft properties when you are so blatantly a fanboy to an opposing console?

4721d ago 8 agree5 disagreeView comment

It's not going to happen.

Epic were never restricted to Microsoft, but have often stated that with the Gears of War franchise, they feel no need to spread to other communities. They could have ported Gears 2 and 3 to the PC, but chose not to. Their fan base is primarily on the Xbox, and those of who are truly motivated on playing the franchise bought an Xbox. Marketing-wise, they couldn't do better than to pair with Microsoft, and Microsoft helped make Gears what it i...

Why must publications attempt to massively over-hype games? Just enjoy the originality of "Watch Dogs", "Grand Theft Auto" is an established franchise. Don't set a new IP the challenge of defeating one of the greatest franchises newest instalments in its first...

Just enjoy the games.

Don't be so unaccepting of others' opinions. Yes, "Killzone: Shadow Fall" technologically looked astounding, but gameplay-wise it did nothing innovative. It's new gameplay mechanics are stripped straight from "Far Cry 3" and "Max Payne". As for "Infamous: Second Son", yes, I'm pumped for a new "Infamous" Instalment, but what was great about that trailer? It wasn't in-game and showed a decent if not somewhat generic concept....

Whut?

That's like saying "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is a "World of Warcraft" killer. "Destiny" and "Halo" may both be First-Person Shooters, but they are entirely different in concept. One is a linear, more corley competetive shooter, the other is a cooperatively driven, open world journey.

Seriously, just because you favour Sony, it doesn't mean that you have to belittle all things Microsoft...

Microsoft looks to be focusing on more core exclusives for next-generation, establishing Black Tusk Studios, of who are "dedicated to creating immersive, AAA games that push the limits of Microsoft's entertainment platforms" and currently working on 4 IP's.

Each Generation brings out the best in each company, with Sony recognising their mistakes regarding the online aspect of the Playstation 3 and now Microsoft realising that despite the quality of their exc...

Whilst I'm immensely pumped for this game, and think Crystal Dynamics are more than deserving of the praise they are recieving for reinvigorating a tiring and almost forgotten franchise, as an industry, I think publishers need to be more strongly penalised for their unimaginative tacking on of multiplayer. If they truly believe it to be necessary, they should go to the effort of fleshing it out and not outsourcing it to a seperate, less enthusiastic team...

Great score.

GamesMaster aren't bias, nor are they bought. Their scores have often been the first released, yet have been absolute, acting as a true indication of the games quality:

@ PLASTICA-MAN

This is Capcom we're talking about here, notorious for on-disc DLC. Do you REALLY think they're going to pass up the opportunity for higher profits by making this title exclusive? And, if it is an exclusive, then why was the title discussed outside of the exclusives section of the presentation...?
